LeBron James

LeBron James is one of the most successful basketball players of all time and is often involved in TwinSpires NBA Trade Rumours. Until now, he won 4 NBA league MVP, 3 NBA finals, 3 NBA Championships, and 2 Olympic Gold medals. So, what is the secret of his success?

Not too long ago, LeBron discussed his eating habits while being interviewed for The Tim Ferris Show.

He starts his day with an egg white omelet with smoked almond and gluten-free pancakes with berries.

For lunch, most of the time he eats whole wheat pasta, salmon, and vegetables. Right before the game, he usually eats a peanut butter and jelly sandwich just to give him an energy boost. At halftime, he wants another energy boost and he eats sliced apples with almond butter on top.

Right after the game, he makes a protein shake by combining some fruit, almond milk, and protein powder.

For dinner, LeBron usually prefers chicken with some kind of salad and a glass of wine.

Tom Brady

One of the greatest football players of all time is still on top of their game even though he is 43 years of age. In his career, he won 5 Super Bowl titles, 4 Super Bowl MVP Awards, as well as 3 NFL league MVP Awards.

Most of its success comes from his devotion to the sport. He is also known for his notoriously high-disciplined diet.

Brady drinks at least 20 ounces of water with electrolytes immediately after he wakes up. During the day, he is always hydrating by drinking 12 to 25 glasses of water a day. After his morning hydration, he has a morning smoothie with forest fruit, banana, nuts, and seeds. This smoothie is high in protein, fiber, and calories.

Brady’s lunch is often a piece of fish alongside lots of vegetables. Brady also includes snacks in his diet. His common snacks between meals are protein bars, fruit, chips, and guacamole, hummus, or raw vegetables.

Roger Federer

Here we have another legend who’s about to hit 40 years old but still plays world-class tennis. He has won a record 20 Grand Slam singles titles, and he was ranked #1 in the world for 310 weeks.

Federer starts his day with a homemade waffle with raspberry syrup and some cereal. The weird thing about Federer’s diet is that he washes the breakfast with a shot of vinegar, and squeezed juice just to bump up the acids in his digestive system.

Federer follows the same routine for 20 years, which is eating pasta with light sauce two hours before every match. For dinner, he loves Japanese, Italian or Indian cosines.

As you can see, Federer doesn’t have a strict diet. He just lives a healthy lifestyle, but at the same time, he enjoys a range of foods as part of life’s pleasure. He even confessed to liking chocolate, ice cream, and wine too much, but he doesn’t feel guilty about it.

Final Words

As we can see, every athlete follows a different diet. Some are strict about eating only what the diet suggests, and others like to have more freedom when it comes to choosing their favorite meal of the day.

Either way, eating healthy is an important part of everyone’s life, which doesn’t mean that we should forget about chocolate, wine, or chips.
